Italy’s Delegation Chief Gianluigi Buffon insists the Azzurri feel confident ahead of their 2026 World Cup play-off semifinal against Northern Ireland, but confirms he’ll ‘step aside’ if La Nazionale miss out on qualification.

Italian legend Buffon will quit his role as Italy’s Delegation Chief if the Azzurri fail to qualify for the World Cup for the third time in a row.
