Inter and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni was forced to be subbed off after suffering an injury in the second half of the Milan derby on Sunday.
Italy international Bastoni was forced to be subbed off at minute 68 of Inter’s Serie A match against Milan on Sunday.
See how the match unfolded on the live blog.
Bastoni collided with Milan midfielder Arien Rabiot, committing a foul and receiving a yellow card.
The Inter defender took the worst of it, remaining on the ground in pain and needing treatment from the Nerazzurri’s medical staff.
He was quickly replaced by Inter coach Cristian Chivu, who introduced the Brazilian Carlos Augusto.
Inter are expected to provide injury updates in the coming hours, and Italy CT Gennaro Gattuso will be awaiting news on Bastoni as well.

The Azzurri, in fact, play Northern Ireland in the World Cup semifinal play-off on March 26, and even Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori suffered an injury over the weekend.
Today’s derby is technically a home game for Milan, and the Rossoneri crowd had loudly booed Bastoni before his injury over the controversy surrounding him in the Inter-Juventus match last month.

Let’s hope this is the end of the season for Bastoni. I also hope Italy will not make it to the World Cup.

Hahahahaha
I couldn’t care less about a sports washing exercise taking place in rabid Yank country but it says a lot about a person when they wish bad in7uries on a footballer.
With him Italy always conceded 3 or 4 goals.
